Here, at Seren Bach, we love to promote the ‘back to basics’ style of camping- let go of the mod cons, surround yourselves with cosy blankets, good company and absorb the great outdoors!

Even though we like to think of ourselves as a back to basics site, we offer many modern amenities including, a gorgeous shower (free) and toilet block with an outside washing up area, a place to fill up your water bottles or pots, fire pit rentals and wood, picnic tables scattered throughout the site, and eco-friendly recycling and food waste bins.

An amble along the river Wye will get you to the the town of Hay-on-Wye, around 3 miles from the campsite, where you can explore the many bookshops, the newly renovated castle, and dine at the many eateries scattered throughout town.

If it’s a more relaxed trip you’re after, not only do we offer spectacular views of Hay Bluff, at the northern tip of the Black Mountains, but there are lots of great walks from the campsite. We are situated alongside the Wye Valley Walk, and a walk up through the village will take you past a woodland trust site to arrive on the open hillside of The Begwns with panoramic views of our beautiful landscape.
